Gallows Hill was for the longest time the main execution site in Nottingham. Throughout the 1700s and 1800s a mix of criminals met their end here. From the humble thief to the most notorious murderers. How did executions operate there and why did it stop?


Join the National Justice Museum at Nottingham Central Library to dive into the history of execution in Nottingham.
